- NA SOLICITATION NO. DACA05-03-Q-0078 TYPE OF CONTRACT: Service PROJECT TITLE: Floating Pier, Military Ocean Terminal LOCATION: Concord, California JOB DESCRIPTION: Contractor to supply all labor, materials and supplies in order to fabricate and deliver one (1) gangway and one (1) floating pier. Contractor is to provide four (4) 6 ft. x 32 ft. floating pier sections, completely assembled. The pier will be built with aluminum framing, decking and connectors that allow the sections to be assembled on site to form a single floating pier 12 ft. x 64 ft. The sections are to have polystyrene floatation within polyethylene tubs, which provide at least 35 pounds per square foot flotation, live load. The aluminum decking is to be constructed so as to provide a non-skid surface. The aluminum alloy(s) used are to be compatible with use in the brackish water in and around Suisun Bay. There is to be a vinyl f ender/bumper around the entire completed assembly to protect vessels moored to the structure. There are to be at least 4 cleats per pier section. The cleats are to be of a size and durability for docking 25 ft. vessels. Additional criteria are indicated in the Scope of Work dated 3 September 2003. This procurement will be conducted under Supply and Equipment Code 1945, NAICS Code 332312. The size standards for these codes are 500 employees. TYPE OF AWARD: This Request for Quotation is a Small Business Set-aside and all qualified (small) business may respond. For instructions on registering with the CCR, please s ee our Web page. In order to receive an award, your firm must be registered in the CCR database and the information provided must be current. ORDERING SOLICITATOIN: The solicitation for this project will be available on the Sacramento District Contracti ng Divisions Internet Home page at http://ebs.spk.usace.mil for downloading. The solicitation will be available on or about 08 September 2003 for download. Any further amendments to the solicitation will also be available for download from this website. Requests for copies of this solicitation in any other format than what is advertised will be disregarded. It is important that you first go to this website an under Contract Division Home page, click on the advertised solicitation you are interested in. Go to plan holders registration. This will require you to establish a user name and password. Keep the user name and password and share it with anyone else in your organization that is responsible for registering your firm on plan holders lists. With ou r new system you only have to do the full registration one time. If you have your user name and password, you can always go back into the system and register for other jobs without having to go through the entire registration process.
