- Description
- The United States Secret Service intends to award a sole source purchase order to Image Vision of LaGrange, TX for certain custom, size-limited, weight-tested, modular consoles utilized in the course of its protective mission. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is neither a request for quotations nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement, on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Interested parties are encouraged to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Only written responses sent via electronic mail or facsimile will be accepted. Responses must be received by 8:30 AM Eastern, September 8, 2003. The Government anticipates award on or about September 12, 2003. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
