Description

The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source procurement to Gilman Corporation, P.O. Box 68, Gilman, CY 06336-0068. The solicitation for this order is DTCG89-03-Q-6PD604. Gilman Corp manufactures the 8X26CLR Stand-up Ocean Buoy: Type 350; color green; green hull and radar reflective day mark panels, with antifoulant with metal shipped partially assembled. This buoy is an 8-foot by 26-foot foam filled buoy designed for an ocean environment that meets Coast Guard standards and can accommodate Coast Guard signal equipment and power system. The Coast Guard requires a foam filled buoy for the buoy station at Pillar PT Harbor as the steel ones get holes in them and sink. The Coast Guard has determined that competition is not available. If no responses are received within fifteen (15) days with sufficient information to determine that another responsible source is available, negotiations will be conducted with Gilman Corp. Performance shall be in accordance with the standards contained in applicable purchase order clauses contained in the award. This solicitation is Unrestricted. The NAICS Code is 332313 The size standard is 500 employees. The contract type will be firm fixed price. Negotiations with Gilman Corp will be on/about 03 September 2003. See note 22.
