- This announcement serves as the pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR 5.203(a)(1). Notice: Funds are not presently available for this acquisition. Award of any resultant contract is contingent upon appropriated funds being made available. The 27th Contracting Squadron will issue a Request for Quotation for the Inspection, Repair and Maintenance of Elevators. Contractor shall provide qualified inspection and maintenance repair personnel, all equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform semi-annual inspections, maintenance, and scheduled/unscheduled repairs for approximately 5 personnel elevators at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. Performance shall begin on or about 01 Oct 2003 and include a basic year plus four one-year options. This solicitation is 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 48849 with a $5.0 million Small Business Size Standard. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 4785. Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued on/about 9 Sept 2003 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.eps.gov, with a quotation receipt date on or about 24 Sept 2003. A pre-proposal conference/site visit is tentatively scheduled for 15 Sept 2003 at 10:00 a.m. MST at the Contracting Office, Bldg 300, Room 135, Cannon Air Force Base, NM. 88103. Offerors requesting attendance at the site visit shall, no later than two days prior to site visit, RSVP by submitting their company name and individuals name in writing to Roger E. Wygant at fax 505-784-1148 or e-mail at roger.wygant@cannon.af.mil. Once the RFQ is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to the RFQ. Note: All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for contract award. Information concerning CCR registration requirements may be viewed via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov or by calling the CCR registration center at 1-888-227-2423.
