Description

NA (i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation of Purchase Request DPCFWA3225N040 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effec t through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-05. (iv) This acquisition is 100 percent small business set aside. NAICS: 339920, standard 500 employees for small business. A purchase for Tower 50 feet tall, base of structure is 30 feet X 30 feet, wei ghs over 18,000 lbs., freestanding, engineered for winds in excess of 100 mph as well as the heaviest snowfalls. Used for fostering teambuilding, improving communication, and developing self-esteem. Design provides universal access for persons of all abi lities. Offer high and low challenge course elements accommodating 8 to 36 participants. Ascent routes include a variety of initiatives; low-to-the-ground group initiatives take place in the base. Line Item 0001: QTY 1 each, Tower includes turnkey insta llation, staff training on site, climbing equipment: 14 harnesses, 3 chest harnesses, 7 11mm, 150 ft climbing ropes, 6 helmets, 20 aluminum locking carabiners, 2 figure eight descenders, 7 jaws belay devices, 14 copies of tower instructor??????s manual, 1 year ACCT membership, facility sign, and two-year warranty on the material and workmanship. Acceptance will be FOB destination to Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Line Item 0002: Staff Training, includes all lodging, transportation and incidentals.
