Description
It is the intent of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute to upgrade a government owned Olympus IX 70 microscope to a system capable of performing semi-automatic live cell imaging. The microscope is already controlled by MetaMorph software by Universal Imaging, 402 Boot Road Downingtown, PA., 19335. The purchase includes: (1) the complete upgrade to existing Universal Imaging Metamorph Image Acquisition and Processing Workstation to provide a standalone companion time lapse system compatible with the present Metamorph Imaging workstation, including; MetaMorph Premier Image Acquisition and Analysis Software, with all device drivers and software options, MetaMorph Image Acquisition driver for Roper CoolSnap cameras, Roper CoolSnap ES Monochrome digital CCD camera, P4-2.6Ghz Workstation with 2.0Gb RAM, two 120Gb IDE HDDs, Matrox G450 AGP graphics card, DVD/CD-RW drive, WIN XP, FDD, optical mouse, keyboard, 300W PS, mid-lower case, 10/100T network capability, ports card with additional serial and parallel ports, and warranty, Ludl MAC5000 Controller with stepping motor XYZ support and DC filter wheel control board. Including RS232 control cable and XYZ Joystick, High precision, 4-3/4"x4" travel stepping motor XY stage for customer’s existing Olympus LX 70 inverted microscope, including variable size slide/dish insert and multi-well plate holder, High precision encoded focus motor for customer’s existing LX70 inverted microscope, Excitation DC filter wheel with internal shutter, 10 filter positions, user exchangeable 25 or 32mm filter holders, and excitation mounting adapters for customer’s existing Olympus LX70 inverted microscope, Emission DC filter wheel with 6 filter positions for 25mm filters and emission mounting adapters for customer’s existing Olympus LX 70 inverted microscope, to include installation and three days on site training. The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)Code is 334516, size standard is 500 employee. There are no set aside restrictions for this acquisition. Interested parties capable of furnishing the government with products specified in this synopsis should submit two (2) copies of a proposal to the below address. The proposal shall include the business size, itemized price, shipping cost if applicable, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUN’s) and descriptive literature of product quoted. The proposal must reference “Solicitation Number NHLBI-PS-2003-138. Proposals are due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of the synopsis or September 19th, 2003, by 8:30 a.m. local time, whichever is later. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which if timely receive, shall be considered by the agency.
