- Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the Minneapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC) anticipates entering into a sole source procurement with Philips Medical Systems for a maintenance contract for the period from October 1, 2003 to September 30, 2008. The VAMC has a requirement for maintenance/repair services, including all parts and labor, to be provided for the following Philips Medical X-ray equipment: Philips Model HB3000 Biplane Cardiac Cath X-ray equipment, located in the VAMC Cardiac Cath Lab; Philips Model V3000 Single Plane Vascular X-ray and Integris BV5000 Speical Procedures Room, located in the VAMC Minneapolis, MN. It is believed, for proprietary reasons, that Philips Medical Systems is the only company that can provided the required service. FSC Code J065 applies and NAICS code is 541990 – Professional, Scientific & Technical Services with a small business size of $6.0 Million. Solicitation and award procedures under Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 for commercial items will be followed. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price one year contract will be awarded. Solicitation number RFQ-618-36-04 has been assigned. Formal bid documents are not available. Firms that feel they have the ability to provide the required service/supply may submit their capabilities information including technical data and pricing information to this office for consideration. This solicitation incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
