- Description
- The quantity of walk-in coolers has increased from two to three. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Subarctic Research Unit, Fairbanks, AK, requires Two Walk-in Cold Rooms, for storage of circumpolar, arctic, subarctic and alpine germplasm in fulfillment of the germplasm maintenance goals of the National Arctic Plant Genetic Resources Unit, in Palmer, Alaska. The USDA, ARS, Small Grains & Potato Germplasm Research Center requires one unit. All three units have the following specifications: 9 ft-8 in wide by 19 ft-3 in long by 8 ft-6 1/2 in tall. Outfitted (refrigeration unit) to maintain temperature between 2 degrees C and 4 degrees C (35 degrees F and 39 degrees F). Door clearance to move cart, 48 in wide by 78 in tall, in and out of cold room. Refrigeration unit shall be large enough to handle load (voltage = condensing unit 206/230-60-3, and evaporative unit voltage = 115/1; amperage = condensing unit 5.3, evaluator 4.2. The unit shall have at least one internal 120 volt outlet. Installation and start-up are not included. The units will be installed indoors. Deliver two units to Kent, Washington, for Government shipment to Palmer, Alaska. Deliver on unit to Aberdeen, Idaho. This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. RFQ51-95CV-03 is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-15. The following provisions are applicable: 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors—Commercial Items. 52.212-2, Evaluation—Commercial Items. 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications—Commercial Items. The offeror should include a completed copy of the provision with its offer. 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions—Commercial Items. 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement States or Executive Orders—Commercial Items.
