- Description
- MODIFICATION 0002. The purpose of this modification is to add a FAR clause, answer contractor question and establish a deadline date for all future questions. FAR Clause 52.219-14 is hereby added to this Synopsis and Solicitation. QUESTION!! (1) Document Type states this is a Presolicitation Notice, but Description section states "This announcement is the only solicitation." Are we correct to assume our quotation should be submitted based solely on the contents of the current announcement? (2) The Solicitation states that the vertical divergence between the 50 percent rated peak intensity points above and below the focal plane is not less than + 3 degrees. Please verify the total vertical divergence requirement (is it + or - 3 degrees, or + or - 1.5 degrees for a total of 3 degrees). (3) The Solicitation states "Degradation graphs of the intensity vs. duty cycle are desired." Please clarify what is actually desired. Are graphs showing degradation of the light intensity over time for different duty cycles desired? Or are intensity values at different duty cycles desired? ANSWER 1. Yes, the quote should be submitted based on the current announcement. 2. The minimum vertical divergence should be +/- 3 degrees for a total of not less than 6 degrees. 3. The degradation graphs of intensity vs. duty cycle should be over time. September 9, 2003 at 2:00 pm will be the deadline for all questions concerning the Synopsis and Solicitation.
