Description

The US Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division, intends to overhaul, inspect and perform a replacement of both of CGC Galveston Islands main diesel engines "IAW" specifications. Contractor to provide tools, labor and crane service in order to replace both main diesel engins. The contract preformance period is 07OCT03 thru 22OCT03. A contractor's shipcheck is highly recomended prior to bidding. Funding contingent on congressional funds appropriation act. IMPORTANT NOTICE: DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration" applies to all solicitations issued on / or after 06-01-98. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror/quoter INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Please ensure compliance with this regulation when submitting your quote. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Attention: Minority Women Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, The Department of Transportation (DOT), office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
