- Description
- The National Advanced Resource Technology Center (NARTC) is soliciting for audio-visual design and installation services. The site for which the services are intended is a new building under construction at 3265 E. Universal Way, Tucson, Arizona, located approximately 2 miles east of Tucson International Airport. The move by NARTC to this new site is scheduled for June of 2004. NARTC provides classroom instruction in the areas of wildland fire, aviation, and incident management. The scope of work includes a complete design plan for: 1) video, audio, and control systems in an auditorium and stage area that encompasses podium equipment, stage microphones, table/desk microphones, touch panel, and lighting controls. 2) control room systems for management and integration of all auditorium areas of sound, microphones, lights, projector, and installed podium components. 3) video, audio, and electronic components ? speakers, motorized screens, touch panel control system, and video projectors on pole mounts ? for each of two large classroom areas. 4) whole building video distribution including Direct TV and/or Dish Network TV, and cable installation, as outlined in the detailed electrical plan, for future in-house video sources and the US Satellite System. 5) The design plan must provide a complete line item pricing of all equipment to be purchased, itemization of labor costs, and details of installation, testing, and certification. The solicitation package will include a complete itemization of government-supplied equipment with which contractor-supplied equipment and the design must be integrated. 6) The Contractor shall purchase new equipment as necessary and install all equipment, both new and government-supplied, and warranty the installation for two years. A complete set of building plans is available for viewing at the current site of the National Advanced Resource Technology Center, Marana, AZ 85653, which is located approximately 35 miles northwest of Tucson, Arizona. This procurement is full and open competition with a price range between $100,000 and $250,000. This solicitation is scheduled for issue September 24, 2003 with proposals due close of business October 24, 2003. The anticipated start work date is November 3, 2003. Contract time is 210 days.
