Description
The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the Medtronic Dantex Division, Shoreview MN to furnish and install a Logic Advanced Diagnostic System including a Duet Urogynecology module and a Sonesta 2 motor chair with uroflow swing arm for the Chicago Health Care System, VAMC, West Side, Chicago IL. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 339112. In order to meet the needs of the facility, equipment must include the following: 1) "Gold standard" spinning disk uroflow transducer technology with accuracy of +/-3%, +/- 0.2ml/s relative to actual value, 2) Four discrete pressure channels, 3) High fidelity, low noise EMG amplifier with sound output, 4) Built-in video tutorials, 5) Choice of soft key, mouse or remote control operation, 6) Upgradeable to 4-channel anorectal manometry with standard colorectal protocols, 7) Optional biofeedback, with two-channels of EMG, two-channels pressure sensing and one channel e-stim; featuring straightforward, 3-D software operation and comprehensive reporting. The 2 motor chair with uroflow swing arm must be flexible and include motorized height & seat positions for better mobility and comfort. To the best of our knowledge the Logic Advanced Diagnostic System is the only equipment, which can meet the performance requirements of the Medical Center. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements or has the functionality of the above equipment, may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Medtronic Dantec Division.
