OPTION YEAR I, 120 EA OPTION YEAR II, 120 EA Applicable to: TF-39 Engine. Destn: Tinker Air Force Base Ok 73145-3032. Basic Year period awarded to AMETEK, INC on 24 Sept 02. Government intends to exercise Option I to extend contract with AMETEK, INC from 24 Sept 03-24 Sept 04. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. This part must be acquired from a manufacturing source(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. This item is Sole Source to AMETEK, INC, 50 FORDHAM RD, WILMINGTON, MA 01887-2190. The anticipated date that Option I will be exercised is 24 Sept 03. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
