REPAIR SEWER LATERALS, MFH, ANDREWS AFB MD GENERAL INFORMATION: DOCUMENT TYPE: COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION SOLICITATION NUMBER: F5119023530100 POSTED DATE: 10 September 2003 RESPONSE DATE: 19 September 2003 CLASSIFICATION CODE: Z CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS: DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE, AIR MOBILITY COMMAND, 89TH CONS, 1419 MENOHER DRIVE, ANDREWS AFB MD 20762-6500 DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation, F5119023530100, is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 562998. Contractor will perform all operations necessary to locate, excavate, and replace 13 sewer laterals with new PVC sewer line of same size at 13 different locations in the Military Family Housing community on Andrews AFB MD. Work will include, but is not limited to: excavate to uncover existing laterals (shoring or trench box will be utilized where required); remove old laterals and install new four to six inch laterals, making tie-ins into existing main, matching existing floor covering when making repairs; back fill, compact, sod, reinstall patios, floors, and foundations at all locations; restore each work site to its improved configuration to include replanting of shrubs and bushes and dispose of all construction materials and debris upon work completion at each location. Contractor shall also obtain all necessary digging permits. Note: All laterals are estimated to be 3 ? 5 feet deep and will be completed in a predetermined order provided by the designated MFH POC. Period of performance shall not exceed 40 working days (excluding weekends/holidays) from award date. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award. The Government will award a contract resulting form this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered.
