- The purpose of this modification synopsis is to restate information provided in the initial synopsis for clarity purposes. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport is contemplating award on a sole source purchase order to SSI Shredding Systems for the following requirement. CLIN 0001: One each, Discharge Conveyor replacement parts for series 45 Model 3200H shredder, for shredder unit number 1, torpedo components processing. CLIN 0002: One each, Discharge Conveyor with discharge chute for unit number 2, electronic scrap processing. CLIN 0003: One each, Ram Hopper includes access door, for shredder unit number 1. CLIN 0004: One each, Stand to accommodate discharge conveyor for unit number 1 shredder. CLIN 0005: One each, Control Panel, electrical panel with processor, single processor to control both shredders and conveyors. CLIN 0006: Stand Hopper, for shredder uni t number 2 for processing electronic scrap. CLIN 0007: One each, Stand, to accommodate discharge conveyor, for shredder unit number 2. CLIN 0008: One each, Panel,electrical for shredder unit number 2. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number for this requirement issued as a request for quotation is N00253-03-Q-0289 which is ready for download on or about 10 Sept 2003 at this address: http://kpt-eco.kpt.nuwc.navy.mil. Select/click Request for Quotes, and N00253-03-Q-0289 will be listed with the list of available RFQs. This requirement is to be FOB Destination Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport, Keyport, WA 98345-7610 with Inspection and Acceptance at Destination with a required delivery date of 14 November 2003. Quotes/Offers are due no later than 20 Sept 03, 08:00 am Pacific Time. Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) and applicable assigned rating for this requirement is DO-C9E. Commercial Simplified Procedures shall be used for this procurement. Firms interested in submitting quotes must (1) complete the pricing providing unit prices and extended pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the required clauses, ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov). This notice intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 7 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely fo r the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of this RFQ/amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to this RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer nonresponsive and may result in rejection. The solicitation document incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15. This requirement has the NAICS Code 333298 and size standard of 500. The following provisions apply to this solicitation, 52.212-1 Commercial Items; 52-212-3 Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial Items, 52-212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items and 52-212-5. Responses shall be due no later than 0800 hours PT on 20 Sept 2003. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be used for this procurement.
