Description

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) intends to issue a non-competitive modification to an existing contract with Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., 8850 Stanford Blvd., Suite 1700, Columbia, MD 21045, for extended maintenance and emergency repair service on a Siemens Magnetom Sonata MRI unit currently installed in the Division of Intramural Research, NHLBI. The required service is commercial as defined in FAR Part 2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. Responses to this notice, referencing number N02-HL-0-4063, may be submitted to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, Building RKL2, Room 6142, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, Maryland 20892-7902, Attention: Kathleen J.
