Description
This project, estimated to begin May 2004, includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Provide 40' of new Glide Slope (GS) tower (2-20') and transport 1-5'section from JFK Airport to Morristown Airport. 2. Install piles and concrete foundations for the new 8' x12' prefabricated shelter and 45' tower/ 3/ Install shelter on new concrete piers. 4. Assemble and install the 45' tower with new hardware, right climbing rail, lightning protection and obstruction light on new foundation. 5. Install new power and RF conduits and cable in RGSC to new shelter and tower. 6. Install and test grounding system outside and inside shelter. 7. Remove and dispose of the existing shelter and glide slope tower. 8. Remove existing foundations to 1 foot below grade, fill to match existing grade and seed disturbed areas. PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS ARE REQUIRED TO FAX OVER A REQUEST FOR THE SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST (SIR)to Maria Gallo at 718-995-5685. There is a limit of five (5) copies of the SIR available. Requests received after the limit has been reached will not receive a response from the Government, however, an announcement will be made naming the five (5) companies who have been sent the SIR. Requests for the SIR will be controlled based upon the time and date as it appears on the faxed request. Estimated cost of this project is between $100,000 - $150,000. This is a Best Value Procuement. Evaluation will rely heavily on Past Performance, Technical Experience/Financial Capability and Cost.The FAA has received requests from the following: Railroad Const., Paterson, N J.;Midwest Underground Tech. Gibson City, Ill.; Joe R. Jones Weatherford, Tx.; Swager Comm. Fremont, Ind.'Goff Comm.Bradenton, Fl. WE HAVE NOW MET OUR QUOTA NO OTHER SIR'S SHALL BE ACCEPTED THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN AWARDED TO RAILROAD CONST. CO. 75-77 Grove St. Paterson, N J 07503, in the amount of $149,000.00. One other offer was received for $170, 634.00. AWARD DATE SEPTEMBER 10, 2003
