- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for a firm fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated on a sole source basis with Motorola Inc. for one Main Radio Console and various hand-held radios and accessories in support of U.S. Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi, Japan. NAF Atsugi currently utilizes hardware with which only the Motorola console and radios will interface. Thus, due to compatibility issues, NAF Atsugi must procure these items from subject contractor. Place of delivery is Tracy Air Force Base in California. Delivery required as soon as possible. The commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 15 September 2003 with a closing date of 22 September 2003. Per FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduced to 11 days from this announcement. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Proposed contract to be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
