Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F13ACB32311700 is issued as a request for quote using simplified acquisition procedures. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL intends to award a firm fixed price contract for nine (9) single jacket electrical cable assemblies and nine (9) dust covers as further described. CLIN 001 - Single jacket electrical cable assemblies shall meet the requirements of NSN# 6150-01-114-1325, except that the cable assemblies must be single jacketed, 100 feet in length, have a scuff guard protector (for the purpose of avoiding damage caused from dragging the cable assembly over concrete), and accept a replacement head with an NSN #5999-01-447-2960, FOB destination to 225 W. Ash St (Bldg 845), Maxwell AFB, AL 36112-6501. CLIN 0002 - Dust covers shall be for use with the cable assemblies identified above and must provide protection against 1) water infiltration into the connector, 2) electrical shock from "live" cables, 3) dirt and debris intrusion into the connector, and 4) excessive connector wear due to dragging of the connector, FOB destination to 225 W. Ash St (Bldg 845), Maxwell AFB, AL 36112-6501. Each offeror must submit technical data sufficient to substantiate their offer as technically acceptable. Award will be made to the lowest priced offer of the technically acceptable offers. The required delivery date shall be 30 days or less after receipt of award. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. Upon request, the Contracting Officer will make their full text available. The subject of all electronically submitted offers (email or fax) shall begin with " F13ACB32311700" and all faxed offers shall be to the attention of "1Lt John R. Darity". All quotes are limited to 23 pages, single-sided, 10 font minimum and shall include a completed 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items (Jun 2003), to include Alternate 1 (Apr 2002), and 252.225-7035 Buy American Act--North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act--Balance of Payments Program Certificate (Apr 2003), to include Alternate 1 (Apr 2003).
