Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined synopsis/solicitation number is DABJ05-03-T-0839. CLIN 0001- Pressure Test Relief Device (PTRD), PN: 9PTRD or equal. The Pressure Test and Relief Device (PTRD) are used to protec t operators when removing or replacing plugs in chemical agent storage ton containers. The device consists of a frame which nests inside the end (chime) of the ton containers to hold the PTRD in place. Attached to the frame is the PTRD head, which fits o ver the plug to be removed. The head has a socket and extension, which fit on the plug allowing removal. Around the socket and extension is a small, gasket pressure chamber, which seals to the end of the ton container around the plug. This pressure cham ber allows operators to introduce pressure into the ton container preventing any pressurized chemical agent from spraying out during plug removal. The pressure chamber is connected to a series of valves and hoses, which facilitate pressure regulation and venting during operation. These valves are generally integrated into a glove box. Since each application is different, the valve system provided would contain all of the necessary components, which can be field-fitted to the glove box. This way, any gl ove box configuration can be accommodated. Requisition Number W91CPU-3248-3001. Acceptance shall be at Destination. Shipping shall be FOB Dest.
