Description

NA The purpose of this project is to prevent further damage to the upstream embankment portion of the Clearwater Dam and to repair the foundation rock underneath the embankment. The project will consist of drilling and grouting a 400-foot grout curtain (maxim um length) on the upstream face of Clearwater Dam on a berm at elevation 575 msl. This is approximately 35 feet below the top of the dam. With the lake at conservation pool, elevation 500 msl, the work site is approximately 800 feet downstream and 75 fee t higher in elevation than the water surface of the conservation pool. Approximately 80 holes are to be drilled and grouted to a depth of approximately 180' along the centerline of the core trench alignment from station 38+00 to 42+00. The project requir es the use of balanced stabilized grouts and a computer aided grouting system. Up to five piezometers will be drilled and installed to verify the success of the grout curtain upon completion. THIS PROCUREMENT IS UNRESTRICTED. The Magnitude of Constructi on is $1,000,000.00 TO $5,000,000.00. Date of issue will be on or about October 1, 3003. Date for receipt of proposals will be on or about October 31, 2003.
