Description

It is the Government intent to award a sole source purchase order to Data Security Inc, for the maintenance, calibration and repair of HD-6000 Degausser P/N: 950-0000. The degausser must meet DoD specification for purging classified/sensitive information from hard disk media up to 3000 Oersted including zip disks, jazz disks, one-third, one half and full height hard drives without removing the disk platters. Degausser must also meet DoD specifications for purging classified/Sensitive information from tape media up to 2500 Oersteds including DLT III, DLT IV, LTO Ultrium, 8mm, and 4mm tapes. Degausser must be listed in the National Security Agency (NSA) Approved Degausser Product List (DPL) as meeting these requirements. Must accept hard drives to 3.5? high by 6? wide by 10? deep. The contractor shall provide 1 year extended warranty (beyond initial 90 days) to cover telephone support, and on-site repairs to include labor and parts. The contractor shall also provide two degausser certifications within 1 year after the degausser is delivered. The certifications are required to verify erasure performance by the precise recording of test signals on sample media and the ultra-sensitive measurement of those signals remaining after the degaussing at Andrews AFB, MD. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12. All contractors submitting any proposal to the Government must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) at www.ccr2000.com. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, it does not restrict the Government?s ultimate approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation cost.
