- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number N68836-03-T-0349 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This solicitation is issued on a 100% Small Business Set-Aside basis. The NAICS Code 337127, size standard 500 employees. The USS The Sullivans DDG-68 requires habitability work in wardroom, galley serving line, messdecks. An onsite can be arranged by contacting LT Garrigus at 904/270-6535. All shipboard furniture shall be in accordance with the U.S. Naval Shipboard Catalog (NAVSEA Publication No. S9600-AD-GTP-010, Publication Stock No. 0910-LP-797-8900). Information concerning approved shipboard furniture may be obtained from this catalog. Reference: Habitability Materials List Revision K (May 1996). FALSE BULKHEAD (STBD SIDE AROUND A/C UNIT) G. PORT BULKHEAD WALL COVERING H. STARBOARD BULKHEAD WALL COVERING I. DOOR VIEWING WINDOWS J. STARBOARD TV CABINET K. PORT TV CABINET /ENTERTAINMENT CENTER L. COUNTER TOP COVERING AND SLIDING DOOR AND SHELVES M. TRASH CAN CABINET N. CUP AND SILVERWARE CABINET O. CEREAL DISPENSER CABINET P. STATEROOM CARPETING INDUSTRIAL WORK WARDROOM - A. WARDROOM PRESENTATION SILVER CABINET (1) Contractor will: a. Refurbish existing presentation silver trophy case measuring 61 ?" wide x 30 ?" high. b. Box top and install light with translucent cover. c. Install plexi-glass mirror interior left and right side and back d. Manufacture and install adjustable clear shelving e. Install felt bottom shelf lining in case f. Resurface exterior with wood grain HPPL g. Install new safety glass sliding doors with cabinet locks suitable for safekeeping of materials. B. BOOK SHELF BUILT INTO ENTERTAINMENT CENTER (1) Contractor will: a. Remove existing speaker section of entertainment center and change appearance and use to serve as a bookshelf. b. Replace existing HPPL with shipboard approved HPPL material that matches preinstalled color. c. Fabricate/manufacture internal section of entertainment center to present an appearance similar to existing internal shelves of entertainment center. d. Area to be modified measures: 34" wide x 12" high. GALLEY SERVING LINE - C. SERVING LINE WALL COVERING (1) Contractor will: a. Cover vertical bulkhead below serving line with shipboard approved HPPL coating b. Vertical bulkhead measures 27 feet in length by 3 feet in height. D. DOOR VIEWING WINDOW (1) Contractor will: a. Install a 4" viewing glass porthole in existing galley door with anodized brass framing. MESSDECKS - E. AFT BULKHEAD EXTENSION AND WALL COVERING (1) Contractor will: a. Remove existing false bulkhead and relocate and secure 2" forward of present location to provide a flat wall surface for mounting pictures. Bulkhead measures 27 feet in length and 39 inches in height. b. Move existing wall mountings to include 1MC speaker and casualty power connection to an adjacent location that allows use without obstructing bulkhead use. c. Cover bulkhead with wood grain HPPL consistent with materials approved for shipboard use in a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. d. Manufacture access panels to cover reheater control boxes and any other components requiring access. e. Provide labor and materials needed to lightly sand and paint striping on aft bulkhead as required. f. Remove installed display case and turn over to ship's force for reuse. g. Dispose of any unused materials and clean effected areas. F. FALSE BULKHEAD (STBD SIDE AROUND A/C UNIT) (1) Contractor will: a. Provide all materials and manufacture approximately 8 linear feet of false bulkhead (honeycomb) to replace existing sound proofing curtain. The bulkhead will consist of two panels measuring 78" long by 76" high and 40" long by 76" high. b. All materials must be approved for shipboard use. Cover bulkhead with wood grain HPPL in a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. Bulkhead HPPL coating will be installed in two-tone color with chair rail for Wainscot appearance. c. Paint and finish any areas not covered by HPPL material to present uniform appearance. d. Dispose of any unused materials and clean effected areas. G. PORT BULKHEAD WALL COVERING (1) Contractor will: a. Provide all material to cover port bulkhead from corner of entertainment center to forward stainless steel coated bulkhead with HPPL in a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. b. Bulkhead HPPL will be installed in two-tone color with chair rail for Wainscot appearance. c. Wall is approximately 27 feet in length by 82" in height varying in dimensions around bench seats and doorway. d. Relocate and mount 1MC speaker above resurfaced bulkhead. e. Paint and finish any areas not covered by HPPL material to present a uniform appearance. H. STARBOARD BULKHEAD WALL COVERING (1) Contractor will: a. Provide all material to cover starboard bulkhead from aft corner by TV cabinet and water fountain to aft side of rear door to Medical. Cover bulkhead with HPPL in a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. Bulkhead HPPL will be installed in two-tone color with chair rail for Wainscot appearance. b. Wall is approximately 15 ? feet in length by 82" in height varying in dimensions around bench seats and doorway. c. Paint any areas not covered with HPPL to present a uniform appearance. I. DOUBLE DOOR VIEWING WINDOW (1) Contractor will: a. Install a 4" viewing glass porthole in Messdeck entrance doors with anodized brass framing to 2 portside doors. J. STARBOARD TV CABINET (1) Contractor will: a. Remove existing HPPL. b. Provide, replace, and install new HPPL over area previously covered with removed HPPL. All materials must be approved for shipboard use in a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. c. Unit measures 48" x 41" d. Dispose of any unused materials and clean effected areas. K. PORT TV/ENTERTAINMENT CENTER CABINET (1) Contractor will: a. Remove existing HPPL. b. Provide, replace, and install new HPPL over area previously covered with removed HPPL. All materials must be approved for shipboard use in a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. c. Unit measures 43" long x 77" high x 20" deep. d. Dispose of any unused materials and clean effected areas. L. L-SHAPED COUNTER TOP COVERING/SLIDING DOOR AND SHELVES (1) Contractor will: a. Remove to contractors facilities (if necessary) 1 " L" shaped counter top measuring 22" wide x 43 ?" long in one section and 22" wide x 61" long in second section with a 3" x 1" back splash guard. b. Remove existing HPPL covering and replace with new HPPL materials with shipboard approved materials in a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. c. Reinstall to original location aboard ship (if necessary) and secure in place. d. Manufacture and install 2 each wall-mounted shelves. e. Manufacture and install 1 each internal pocket door to enclose port aft alcove. f. Cover furnishings with HPPL in a material approved for shipboard use in a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. g. Dispose of any unused materials and clean effected areas. M. TRASH CAN CABINET (1) Contractor will: a. Manufacture and install a swing door cabinet designed to hold three trash cans. b. Cover cabinet with HPPL in a material approved for shipboard use in a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. c. Provide trash cans designed to fit into manufactured trash cabinet. d. Manufacture a top railing system design to hold two stacks of trays that measure 14"x18". e. Cabinet area will fit in an area approximately 20" deep, 36" high, 43" in length. N. CUP AND SILVERWARE CABINET (1) Contractor will: a. Manufacture a cabinet system to hold two cup trays on top side of system approximately 30" wide. b. Manufacture a bottom-shelve cup tray system approximately 30" wide to hold coffee mugs. c. Cover manufactured cabinet system in HPPL in a material approved for shipboard use and a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. d. Manufacture a cabinet riser (45 degree angle) to contain 6 silverware holding slots in back drop portion of cabinet. Slots should allow for placing removable silverware holders into slots. e. Install and mount cabinet to deck along port forward beverage serving line. f. Manufacture a securing bracket to hold dual CO2 bottles for fountain drink machine along left side of ice cream unit. Secure unit for sea. O. CEREAL DISPENSER CABINET (1) Contractor will: a. Manufacture a three-tier cereal dispensing cabinet and mount to bulkhead. b. Cover manufactured cabinet with HPPL in a material approved for shipboard use and a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer. P. STATEROOM CARPETING (1) Contractor will: a. Remove approximately 196 square yards of BIW installed carpet in 13 Officer staterooms. b. Prep and repair decks as needed in accordance with NAVSEA Technical Manual S9086-VG-STM-010, Chapter 634. c. Provide and install new FED SPEC DDD-C-95 Type II, Class 2 100% wool carpet in a color selected by USS THE SULLIVANS Supply Officer.
