Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Reston, Virginia, has a requirement for a non-competitive award via written request for quotation No. 03ER21-No Solicitation number to New York State Office of Cyber Security & Critical Infrastructure Coordination (NYS-OCSCIC) for orthoimagery covering NIMA'S Buffalo, NY imagery footprint. Provide for the acquisition of aerial photography and production of digital to standards, and provide access to the statewide digital orthoimagery through the New York State Office CSCIC'S clearinghouse. The native format of the digital orthoimagery is in NY State Plane Coordinate System West Zone, U.S. Survey Feet, NAD-83 GeoTIFF'S. The NYS-OCSCI maintains the New York State GIS Clearinghouse, which is an NSDI node. In general, data distributed through the GIS Clearinghouse, including orthoimagery, is classed as " sensitive" or "non-sensitve". The NYS-OCSCIC will supply and monitor an independent quality assurance plan based on FGDC National Standard for spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) procedures. This plan exceeds NAPP image quality standards as they apply to 1"= 200 orthoimage scale. Each viewing, or download of a digital orthoimagery will have accompanied fully complaint Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) metadata. The U.S. Geological Survey anticipates awarding this to New York State Office of Cyber Security & Critical Infrastructure Coordination. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The anticipated award date is 09/22/2003. Delivery is required by 09/30/2003. NAICS is 541370 and SIC is 7389. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Determination to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice must be submitted via e-mail to: abenton@usgs.gov by 09/19/2003. No additional synopsis will be published.
