Description
GSA intends to procure a Digital Storage Oscilloscope model, TDS6604, a 6GHz four-channel system with traceable calibration standard and warrantee-calibration service for three-years all from Tektronix, Inc., of Beaverton Oregon. Procedures for the acquisition are under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedure. The estimated value of the entire requirement is $55,114.11. The equipment is required to be in new, unused condition, and is primarily for testing Information Technology systems among others to satisfy agency requirements. The requiring agency?s Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) has made the determination of their minimum needs to comply with National Security Policy covering protections of information in information processing systems. To ours, and their knowledge, Tektronix, Inc. Federal of Beaverton Oregon is the only known source that can provide the equipment CTTA has determined meets their minimum needs to insure compliance with National Security Policy for the protections of the classified information processed in their specific Information Technology Systems in situ and in their unique IT operational environs. GSA?s authority for this acquisition is 41 USC 253(c)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, proposals received, within 4 days of the posting will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
