General Information Document Type: Sources Sought Notice, Solicitation Number: F5000432410100 Posted: 17 Sep 2003 SIC: 8711 Description: 89th Contracting Squadron, Andrews Air Force Base, Andrews, Maryland intends to issue a sole source contract to Nasatka Barriers, Inc. for Maintenance, Inspection, Emergency Calls and replacement parts for the Nasatka Barrier System. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The required services include providing all management services, technical support, personal, equipment, materials, parts, tools, labor, transportation, and other services to maintain, inspect, and replace parts for nine (9) existing Nasatka Barriers and other related components at Andrews AFB. This is to be completed in accordance with the ?Maintenance and Repair of Nasatka Barriers" Statement of Work, dated 17 September 2003. The period of performance of any resulting contract will be 1 October 2003 to 30 September 2004, with 4 options to follow. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 7 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The assigned Contracting Specialist is Beverley Harris.
