Description
SERVICES SOURCES SOUGHT. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service has a requirement to charter of the R/V Georgia Bulldog and crew to conduct underwater video documentation of wild sea turtle interactions with proposed modification to TED escape opening. The support shall be provided for a total of 16 days in the areas of high sea turtle concentrations in the Atlantic coastal areas around Brunswick, GA. Exact dates shall be determined by the southerly migration of Leatherback turtles along the Georgia coast. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one known source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The organization is the University of Georgia, Marine Extension Center, 715 Bay Street, Brunswick, GA 31520. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 10 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In order to be considered, firms must furnish detailed information concerning their capability to provide this product. Such information shall include at a minimum: name; telephone number and point of contact; ability to provide the above referenced units and the names and telephone numbers of firms to whom this product or similar products have been previously provided. The Central Administrative Support Center (CASC), Acquisition Management Division (AMD), requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) before October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov/.
