- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for construction service prepared in accordance with FAR 14.2. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Solicitation Number DABJ21-01-B-0007 applies and is used as a Request for Quotation. In accordanc e with the FAR Clause 5.203.a.2, named Publicizing and Response Time, the Contracting Officer has established a short response time for this solicitation. The Fort Hamilton Military Community is seeking source to provide HVAC modifications for building 114 , Basement North side at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, New York. Remove supply ductwork from Air Handling Unit to approximately 15 feet downstream of the duel temperate in line coil. Remove all return ductwork. Remove pneumatic tubing to existing dampers, valv es, coil, and thermostat up to first branch in main and cap. Install new ductwork, drip pan (in way of coil), access covers, and insulation. This change is required to resolve deficiencies in the existing ductwork, repair leaks in way of exterior wall, an d provide outside air to the space. The existing ductwork is not insulated, there is no drip pan in way of the coil, no means to clean the face of the coil, the penetration in the exterior wall leaks, and the existing ductwork was not properly install (ga ps at flange connections). Also, there is no outside air provided to the area. Install all new insulated flexible duct and diffusers. All the existing flexible ductwork and ceiling diffusers are being removed and discarded by the mold and mildew abateme nt contractor as part of his tasking. Install new exhaust system from the kitchen and corridor. The system will exhaust via a wall mounted exhaust fan. The new exhaust system is being provided to balance the upgrade HVAC system and reduce odors. Remove existing dual temperature piping, fitting and pneumatic valves up to closest cut out valves. Flush out, clean and test existing coil, repair as required. Install new piping, fittings and electrically actuated valve (only one is needed). This change is re quired for the existing pneumatic actuated valves are broken. The only way to control the temperature in the space is manually open and close a cut off valve. The new electric actuated valve will be controlled by the thermostat and interlocked with the AH U. Install a chain link fence on top of the existing enclosure around the Air Handling Unit, to meet DOD antiterrorist requirements. Purchase and install four new portable dehumidifiers. Replace the thermostat with one that can be set to provide outside air continuously during business hours and at the same time provide cooling/heating as required. Install a smoke detector in the supply ductwork and fire dampers at the exterior wall to the AHU, to improve safety. Service Existing York unit, to improve overall system performance. Service shall include cleaning, adjusting, lubricating moveable parts and replacing disposable filters. Any replacement parts required to fix a deficiency, worn or broken component will be an extra. Prior to replacing any parts that the contractor deems as an extra, the Contracting Officer??????s approval must be obtained. Install a new false ceiling grid and panels. Re-hang lights in way of new false ceiling to suit. A new false ceiling is required for the mold and mildew aba tement contractor as part of their tasking removed and discarded all the existing panels and grid work. Balance system upon completion of work, to improve overall system performance. All work shall be in strict accordance with the applicable drawing and sp ecifications and the terms and conditions required by the contract. A Firm Fixed Price award is contemplated. The completion period is 60-days from the issuance of a notice to proceed. Estimated dollar value is from $50,000 to $75,000. This is a Small B usiness Set-Aside. Project is open to Small Business Only. The NAICS Code for this project is 238220, which is matched to SIC Code 7623. To be considered a s mall business for this procurement, a company??????s annual average gross revenue for each of the last 3 fiscal years cannot exceed $28.5 Million. The work shall be located at Building 114 Basement at Fort Hamilton Army Garrison, Brooklyn, New York. The e xact location will be shown by the Contracting Officer Representative.
