Description
NA Sole Source Commercial Contract. This is a notice of United States Army Yuma Proving Ground??????s (YPG) intent to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Sierra Olympic Technologies, Inc., 310 3rd Avenue NE, Suite 121, Issaquah, WA 98027-3349 for 1 each Merlin-Mid Camera, Part Number 414.0002.00. The Merlin-Mid Camera is the only source known to possess specifications required to meet existing test data formats. The required camera system must have an InSb detector, 256x256 pixel s, Field of view 4-5 degrees horizontal, Spectral pass band 3.7-5.05 microns and an accuracy of +- .2 degrees C. The Merlin-Mid Camera to be acquired shall possess f/2.5 Cold Shield, Integral Stirling Closed Cycle Dewar/Cooler Assembly, 320x256 InSb (snap shot) Integrating Sensor, Internal Cold Filter for 3.0-5.0 Micron Sensitivity, 110/220V AC/DC Converter, Remote Control Button Panel, Video Inputs, NTSC and S-Video, Digital Outputs (12-bits corrected and bad pixel replaced), Remote Interface, RS-232, Cabl es included, NTSC Video and Power, and Carrying case. It is essential for continuity that the data generated by this camera system must be compatible form, fit and function with existing data collection formats, speed and spectral pass band. The resultant contract will be based on acquisition of commercial items under FAR Part 12. Delivery shall be made within 30 days of contract award. The pending contract will be made based solely on technical responses to this synopsis request.
