Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE) to procure engine integration support. GEAE will perform necessay tests and analysis to determine the impacts, if any, on the F414 engine as a result of the EA-18G aircraft configuration. The authority to permit other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. GEAE is the designer, developer and manufacturer of the F414 engine and the only source with the required technical expertise, propriety data and tooling required to meet the Government's needs.
