- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being accepted and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote under solicitation M6700103R0022. GENERAL INTENTION: The 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina has a requirement for four (4) Height Reducible Electronics Enclosures for seven (7) ton trucks, fourteen (14) foot in length. STATEMENT OF WORK: C.1 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The enclosures shall be self-contained, provide tactical, shelterized workspace with 60 dB EMI shielding. They shall be 78 inches internal height when fully extended, be reducible to a closed external height of 48 inches, and have slots in the base for lifting by forklift. They shall be ISO configured so they can be locked to the bed of the truck. They shall contain a 100 Amp box for power with overhead lights and wall-mounted sockets every four (4) feet on each long internal wall, and have a door on one end 36? wide, lockable in the extended position and non-functioning in the reduced position. The enclosures shall have a ladder for access while loaded on an MTVR that reaches to 66 inches and locks into the end of the shelters. They shall have a mechanism to raise and lower the van top, capable of both manual operation and operation utilizing a power drill, and shall be operable by a single individual. They shall have removable vents to attached climate control equipment in rear walls and the doors shall be located in the front walls. The outer shell shall be constructed of a weatherproof, lightweight, high strength, low maintenance material, corrosion resistant and capable of withstanding various climates throughout the world, including extended periods of sea air exposure. The internal shell shall support mounting of fire fighting equipment by the door, and the floor shall be constructed of solid metal and possess the flexibility of stand-alone capability. F.1 DELIVERIES ? REQUIRED DELIVERY SCHEDULE. The government desires delivery prior to 20 November 2003, FOB destination. The Offeror shall state in his proposal a delivery schedule that differs from the required delivery schedule stated above. Offerors that propose delivery schedules that will not clearly fall within the applicable desired delivery period specified above will be considered only in lieu of any acceptable offers that will meet the desired delivery schedule. If the Offeror pr oposes no other delivery schedule, the desired delivery schedule will apply. CONTRACTUAL INFORMATION. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-15, effective July 24, 2003. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code is 332995 and the corresponding size standard is 500. The following clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors, Far 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders?Commercial Items. The Offeror must submit a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications, with their quotes. DFARs 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acq uisitions of Commercial Items. Quotes are due by 9:00 AM on 29 September 2003 to the Contracting Division, P.O. Box 8368, MCB Camp Lejeune, NC 28547-8368. Offerors must be registered in the CCR (Central Contractor Registration) database. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an Offeror ineligible for award. The contractor may be required to implement the Department of Defense web-based software application, called Wide Area Workflow Receipt and Acceptance (WAWF-RA). This application allows DoD vendors to submit and track invoices and Receipt/Acceptance documents electronically.
