Description
NAICS Code: 54199 The U.S. EPA, ORD, National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL) in Ada, OK is seeking to obtain student services, for one student, under the authority of 43 US Code Section 5d. The student would provide services under a contractual agreement to assist with Ecosystem Restoration studies. The successful candidate will evaluate changing water quality conditions associated with restoration research activities through analysis of water samples in accordance with established procedures. Additionally, the successful candidate will meet with the mentor on a weekly basis to discuss assignments and prepare bi-weekly progress reports. The work is a full-time position to begin approximately October 27, 2003 for a 12-month period, with a possible period of performance extension through October 2005. The duty-station is Ada, OK. Work duties will be split between laboratory and field with an approximate split of 60/40. The successful candidate contractor must undergo a background and fingerprint check. The student shall have completed two or more college courses in biology, chemistry, and environmental science and be a recent graduate (within the last 12 months) with either a BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university. Compensation is commensurate with the level of education and experience. The anticipated hourly rate is $13.24. Non-U.S. citizens may be eligible to participate, depending on their immigration status and the applicable regulations of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).
