- Description
- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the synopsis and the solicitation maybe accessed by using the on-line Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NASA/KSC has a requirement for the following chemical cleaning solvent: ITEM 1: Vertrel XF HFC w/trans-1, 2 Dichloroethlene Cleaning Solvent in 55 Gallon Drums. Qty: Min. 25, Max. 100. All drums should be palletized for easy transporting. SPECIFICATION: Item 1 must be obtained in accordance with Specification: KSC-SPEC-P-0019, dated July 20, 1999 and palletized for transporting. The specification will be attached within the on-line RFQ. Offeror should provide a statement indicating the specification has been reviewed and the offeror will comply with the specification. CONTRACT TYPE: Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery - Indefinite Quantity. Orders will be placed as needed not exceeding the maximum contract quantity of 100. Contract ordering period will be from receipt of contract award to October 1, 2006. At the time of contract award, Delivery Order (DO) No. 1 will be issued for a Qty of 25 drums. All the necessary contract clause, terms and conditions will be defined in the on-line RFQ. FIRST ARTILCE TESTING: DO 1. - One drum should be shipped for testing prior to the deliver of the additional 24 drums. Testing will be conducted in accordance with the KSC Specification: KSC-SPEC-P-0019. Offerors are required to use the ON-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing by mail, fax, or email (email preferred) to the primary point of contact by 12 noon KSC local time on Thursday, September 25, 2003. It is the offerors' responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). Oral Communication is not acceptable in response to this notice. All inquiries must be submitted in writing. An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".
