Description
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Bureau of Immigration and Custom Enforcement (BICE) intends to award a sole source contract to Q-Matic Corporation, 95 Underwood Road, Fletcher, NC 28732 to procure Q-Matic 168 Matrix Displays (models D832R & D948R), and 16 Voice Chips (models LG0001 (English) & LG0002 (Spanish)) to include installation services for CIS's local offices in New York, San Jose, CA and Arlington, VA and the Washington Headquarters Laboratory. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. The Government anticipates an award date on or about September 30, 2003. This synopsis is for information purpose only. Any inquiries should be addressed to Mae Kim in writing via email (MaeCha.Kim@dhs.gov), no later than September 29, 2003 by 11:00 a.m. EST. See Numbered Note 22. For information purposes, the following is Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
