- Description
- The 89th Contracting Squadron, Andrews Air Force Base intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Babington Enterprises, Inc. located at 1113 Ingleside Ave, McLean, VA 22101 for one (1) of each of the following items for military forces field use: Tray Ration Heating System NSN # 7310-01-295-7479, Field Sanitation Unit #FSU2030, Maintenance Kit with Burner, and accessories. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price. Negotiation is being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within four (4) days after publication of this synopsis. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in proposal preparation. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. The 89th Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source contract (4) days after publication of this notice.
