Description

In accordance with FAR 6.302, the AMC Contracting Flight intends to issue a sole source contract to Alion Science and Technology Corp., 1701 North Beauregard Street, Suite 600 Alexandria, Virginia 22311. Alion will provide a Mobility Simulation Model (MOBSIM?) license and subscription to provide U.S. Transportation Command mobility analysts the ability to analyze the impact that Refueling Tanker Aircraft fuel usage has on the deployment plan and overall Theater of Operations fuel supplies. Alion owns all rights to this proprietary software. The period of performance will begin on 29 Sep 2003 through 28 Sep 2004. Interested parties should respond to this requirement no later than 0900 CST, 29 Sep 2003, to express their interest and capabilities. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all inquires received by the due date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
