Description

NA The Defense Contracting Command-Washington (DCC-W), on behalf of the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA), proposes a competition leading to a follow-on contract for the provision of a media program for the Iraqi people. Requirements will include the ope ration and provision of programming for radio, television, and newspapers in Baghdad, and more than twenty other locations throughout the country; and, include the assurance that indigenous Iraqi personnel are schooled, coached, practiced, and proven in th e principles and techniques of their craft. The objective of the CPA is to bequeath to the Nation of Iraq and its people a world class radio and television network, and an equally world class national newspaper, in the aggregate named the ??????Iraqi Med ia Network??????. Further, the goal is to establish such an institution for the people of Iraq by the end of calendar year 2004. Prospective offerors who believe they can turn the vision of this document into reality are invited to propose how they would achieve the overall objective. A one-year contract with four six month option periods is anticipated. A solicitation will be issued in early October. Potential offerors are, at their own expense, encouraged to attend a Government conducted site visit a nd pre-proposal conference in Iraq during the first week of November 2003.
