Description
The purpose of this Amendment 0002 is to respond to vendor questions received to date. QUESTION #14: Is there an incumbent/favored contractor already in place? ANSWER: No. QUESTION #15: I would like to confirm that solicitation SP4700-03-0049, entitled Video Teleconferencing Equipment, is 100% Small Business Set-Aside and that you will not be accepting any other bids. ANSWER: 100% Small Business set-aside is correct. QUESTION #16: Will the Crestron control system be wired or wireless? ANSWER: Wireless. QUESTION #17: Will the Crestron control system be one way or two way wireless? ANSWER: Two Way. QUESTION #18: Should the successful contractor provide the Polycom for installation and warranty by others? ANSWER: We would like one touch point for warranties as opposed to multiple. QUESTION #19: Is the contractor to provide an equipment rack for inside the cabinet? ANSWER: Yes. QUESTION #20: Will the government provide electrical power and conduit? ANSWER: Yes. QUESTION #21: Who will provide the network terminal adaptor, or NT1's, for the videoconferencing ISDN lines? ANSWER: Defense Logistics Agency. QUESTION #22: As the specified lengths of cable seem excessive, should the contractor provide extra cable or connectors? ANSWER: Only the necessary cable and connectors required for optimal installation are required. QUESTION #22: Do you require 3-year or one-year maintenance? ANSWER: Three. QUESTION #23: Won?t the cable company provide the Sony cable tuner? I was unable to find one anywhere on the internet. ANSWER: Yes. QUESTION #24: My engineer came back from the walk through and asked if you really require an Extron 8 x 8 matrix switcher. He said it was superfluous to the design. ANSWER: Delete the Extron 8 x 8 matrix switcher. QUESTION #25: Which HP projector do you require, 1500 or 2000 lumens? There is a difference in cost as well as resolution. ANSWER: 1500.
