Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The 355th Contracting Squadron is conducting market research to seek qualified sources with an emphasis on 8(a), HUB Zone, Native American, and Veteran-Owned sources capable of providing preventive maintenance servicing, start-up operations, and warranty work on approximately 398 evaporative coolers located at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. Preventive maintenance consists of seasonal maintenance in accordance with commercial practices for each cooler. Preventive maintenance shall be accomplished between 2 January 2004 and mid February 2004. Start-up shall be in accordance with commercial practice for each type of cooler and shall be accomplished between mid February and 31 March 2004. Warranty service shall be provided for 90 days, beginning on 1 April 2004. The base period of performance will be 2 January 2004 through 30 September 2004, with four one-year option periods, all of which will be included in the evaluation for award. This solicitation will be a 100% small business set aside. The applicable NAICS code is 238220 and the corresponding size standard is $12.0 million. The solicitation will be issued as a commercial format request for proposal, using past performance/price tradeoff evaluation procedures. This solicitation will be issued on or about 15 October 2004. It will be available only via the Electronic Procurement System (Fed Biz Opps). No paper copies will be furnished. No bidders mailing list will be maintained. All SBA-registered sources capable of providing these services are being sought. Any information submitted is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this request.
