Description

Aurora-3 Near-field Scanning Optical Microscope. NAICS: 334516, SIC: 3826, FSC: 6650, SIZE STANDARD 500 employees. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). The proposed source is Veeco Metrology, LLC. The items being procured are one (1) Aurora-3 Near-field Scanning Optical Microscope PART # 3681-11, one (1) Collection Mode Option PART # 3950-00, one (1) Avalanche Photon Detector Mounting Kit PART # 3150-00, one (1) Photon Counter Board Option PART # 20-10048, one (1) Explorer SPM head with TrueMetrix PART # 2815-00, one (1) Explorer AFM Dry Scanner +8 mm PART # 5460-00, one (1) Explorer AFM Dry Scanner 6 mm PART # 5490-00, one (1) SPMLab Image Display and Analysis Advances image processing software PART # 8350-00, one (1) 19? SVGA color computer monitor PART # 9520-00, and On site installation and training PART # 9880-00. This equipment is required for the spectroscopic characterization of advanced materials and represents a unique enabling capability to the Air Force. This synopsis is being published for informational purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, the government will consider any quotations received within 3 days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
