Description
The Federal Technology Service of the General Services Administration intends to solicit, under full and open competition, the requirement of a perpetual enterprise license for the Department of Defense (DoD) (with options for the Veteran?s Administration and the United States Coast Guard) comprised of the following phases: perpetual demonstration and test licensing, perpetual alpha site licensing, and perpetual enterprise licensing (full rate production) for a commercial-off-the-shelf pharmacy (RxCOTS) practice management system to be integrated with the Composite Health Care System II (CHCS II). CHCS II will provide a single longitudinal patient record for each member eligible to receive health care benefits in DoD. CHCS II will provide DoD-wide access to individual health care records for ?brick and mortar? Military Treatment Facilites as well as health care facilities deployed in a Theater of Operations. The RxCOTS product, when integrated with CHCS II, will provide a single pharmacy system for all of DoD that will replace the multiple standalone pharmacy systems currently in operation. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract with one (1) base year and nine (9) option years as a result of this solicitation. Firm-fixed price orders will be placed under this IDIQ contract. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 421430. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) to be eligible for award. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released to www.fedbizopps.gov on or around 31 October 2003. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the vendor?s responsibility to monitor the website to look for any amendments/modifications to this posting and/or resultant solicitation. Any questions regarding this posting shall be directed to the Contract Specialist, Mr. Josh Clemens (joshua.clemens@gsa.gov) or the Contracting Officer, Nancy Ballay (nancy.ballay@gsa.gov).
