Description

Hackberry Draw Watershed Floodwater Retarding Structure (FRS) Site 1 and Floodwater Diversion (FD) 1 Rehabilitation and FRS Site 1 Remedial Repair. The rehabilitation of FRS Site 1 involves leveling the top of a 3,320 foot long existing dam, constructing a roller compacted concrete vertical barrier in the control section of the right auxiliary spillway, and the flattening of the exit slopes of the right and left auxiliary spillways. The rehabilitation project also involves raising the dike embankment associated with FD-1. The remedial repair of FRS Site 1 includes the removal of approximately 230 feet of the downstream face of the existing embankment, inspecting and repairing the foundation of the embankment, and reconstructing the embankment. Approximately 40,800 cubic yards of common excavation, 44,600 cubic yards of earthfill, and 13,100 cubic yards of roller compacted concrete are involved. Approximately 740 square yards of foundation is to be cleaned and prepared prior to the placement of approximately 60 cubic yards of dental concrete to be placed. Estimated date for solicitation to be uploaded is 15 October 2003.
