- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis, under authority of FAR 13.501(a), with Arbee Associates, 950 Wind River Lane, Gaithersburg, MD 20878 for Adaptor Bracket Assemblies: Part Number AW00002938 Left Hand-Quantity 767 each and Part Number AW00002939 Right Hand-Quantity 767 each. These bracket assemblies are required to hang Steelcase Avenir furniture on Steelcase I-line walls and must support a shelf, bin, tackboard and worksurface with the necessary clearances. Adaptor bracket assemblies must be compatible with both the Steelcase Avenir furniture and the Steelcase panelized wall system. Arbee Associates as the participating dealer for Steelcase Inc., the manufacturer of both the furniture and the panelized wall system, is the only source capable of providing the adaptor bracket assemblies necessary to perform the furniture installation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 337215, and the size standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, interested parties may identify their capability to satisfy the Government's requirements no later than the response date above. A determination not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. No solicitation package will be issued.
