Description
The Power Plant arrangement consists of a main hydraulic pump, a coupling and a 150 horsepower electric motor. The pump and motor are attached to a bed plant assembly. This unit is used in line with others to provide sufficient fluid to a hydraulic system used for shipboard catapults. Estimated overall dimensions and weight ? 76 X 49 X 49 @ 13,200 lbs. The Power Plant, P/N 41-4845-4 in accordance with the Naval Air Warfare Center?s drawing 41-4845-4, REV 16. This requirement will be procured under a firm-fixed price contract using full and open competition. Delivery shall be for twelve (12) each, P/N 41-4845-4 (CVN-77) with technical data, 15 months after contract award with early deliveries encouraged. Place of delivery is Lakehurst, New Jersey. New suppliers of Pump Assembly need to be qualified for shock and vibration tests per NACADLKE drawing. A post-award survey is recommended to evaluate perspective contractor?s production and quality control capabilities and overall technical acceptability. Inspection and acceptance shall be at source. The contractor shall meet the requirement specifications under MIL-STD-973. Preservation and package shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129 and MIL-STD-130. Award to contractor shall be made using the method of ?best value? to the government. The methods or factors will be past performance and price. Your company is required to register with the United States/Canada Joint Certification Office for Export Control requirements before you receive a copy of the solicitation. You may also, contact the DLIS Registration Center at 1-800-352-3572. Please see Note 8, of the Commerce Business Daily (CBD). Your company is required as well to register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. You can access the internet web site at (http:///www.ccr.dlsc.dla.mil/ccring or www.ccr2000.com). It is mandatory to register with the CCR, as your DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System + 4 number) number and your company?s CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) code will be required to conduct business with the Department of Defense. You may contact the CCR Registration Center at 1-888-227-2432. The Government drawings/specifications will be sent as part of the request for solicitation package.
