Description
The Government intends to purchase the following brand name or equal commercial items: Netilla Networks, Inc. Security Platform comprised of item codes D-NSP-ET200 and D-CSA-0250, one year of software license subscription service item code D-ARS-US, and commercial warranty providing repair or replacement of hardware within 24 hours. Equivalency of other brands of security platforms will be determined by comparison of product offers against the following minimum salient characteristics: (a) Product handles remote access, for at least 100 concurrent clientless users, to any centrally hosted client/server application, allowing users to access authorized corporate resources from standard Web browsers using only port 443. Applications to be remotely accessed include Microsoft Windows applications through Microsoft Terminal Service Servers, UNIX applications, including but not limi ted to Sun OS 4.1.4, all versions of Solaris, using X windows protocols, and Linux applications using X windows protocols. (b) Product handles at least 250 concurrent connections for local desktop applications to remote servers for data exchange and synchronization through browser-based, secure SSL tunnel with remote servers while providing dynamic session-based firewall. All connections must be made automatically without end user configuring client. All traffic must travel over port 443 tunnels with Network Address Translation requiring no server or network reconfiguration. (c) Product has all functions contained on a single physical device fitting in a single standard 19-inch rack with software preinstalled with a single menu-based management interface. (d) Product shall interface with Microsoft Windows Active Directory for file access and user authentication. Requiremen t includes delivery not later than 20 days after award of order with service to begin upon delivery. Offers must be submitted within 10 days of synopsis publication via email to XDS13@nswc.navy.mil. The Government plans to award to the responsible offeror with the lowest price for the required items within the required delivery schedule. Successful offeror will be required to complete and submit "Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items" at FAR 52.213-3 and DFAR 252.212-7000 and shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database. Simplified acquisition procedures, in accordance with FAR 13, and procedures for acquisition of commercial items, in accordance with FAR Part 12, will be used. Estimated award date is 22 October 2003. This synopsis, and applicable amendments, will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswcdd.navy.mil/supp ly/busop.htm. Hard copies will not be provided. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD website to ensure they have downloaded any and all amendments.
