Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island intends to procure on a sole-source basis a special purpose Diploop Cable Assembly, D.G. O?Brien No. 1155205-103, for electrical connection between the Electrical Hull Penetrator Assembly and the Advanced Communication Mast (ACM) on the SSN-23. The ACM is a high speed communications system developed and installed only for and on the SSN-23. The ACM leverages the proven design and hardware developed for the SubHDR program. D.G. O?Brien is the only company that can supply this special purpose Diploop Cable Assembly that is compatible with the existing ACM Electrical Hull Penetrator; compatible with the G745212 termination, which is required for connecting with the outboard antenna equipment; and has the sixty-six pins and three low loss high frequency coaxes required for ACM operation. FAR Parts 12 and 13 will be followed. NAICS: 335999. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
