Description

Emergency Drydock Repairs NOAA Ship Nancy Foster to be performed at the contractor's facility. Performance period to commence on or about November 7, 2003, and shall be completed on or before Nov. 14, 2003, (8 days) if work done in Norfolk, VA. Performance period to commence on or about November 10, 2003, and shall be completed on or before Nov. 17, 2003, (8 days) if work done in Charleston, SC. Basic contract items are Rudder and Steering Assembly Repairs and Inspection, and Bow Thruster Repairs. NOAA Ship Nancy Foster will not be available for inspection due to ship's current mission schedule. Drawings, pictures and detailed specifications will be provided as a part of the solicitation. Characteristics of the NOAA Ship Nancy Foster: Length Overall - 186'-6", Beam (Molded) - 40'-0", Draft, Design - 11'-0", Draft, Navigational - 12'-0", Displacement (FL) - 1271 LT, Propulsion Z-Drives - 2, Propulsion Shafts - 1. This is a full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
