- Description
- Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking sources for the acquisition of Commercial,Graded Fasteners. LLNL has developed and implemented an EOS in which orders are processed through the Ariba Supplier Network (ASN). Potential suppliers must interface with the EOS and have the ability to to provide a static catalog in a format that LLNL can integrate with to support an on-line store that has fixed product descriptions and prices. Your responses should include a brief discussion on each of the following topics (NOTE: Elaborate submittals are discouraged; please limit your response to no more than a few pages in length): Company Profile o General company background (i.e. Small Business, local operations, years in existence, government clients, etc.) o The breadth of supplies (categories, metric, graded, etc.) o Process of handling product certifications and selecting suppliers. o Company's experience with bin re-stocking. o Company's quality assurance program (provide any quality manuals and current ISO certification). e-Commerce Capability o Experience with electronic information exchange via EDI, a Marketplace (i.e. Ariba, Commerce One, Oracle), or through a customized xML based ordering system. o Whether your company maintains an electronic product catalog. o Experience maintaining customer specific product catalogs that include fixed prices and descriptions. Pricing Proposals/Methodology o How you typically respond to requests for pricing proposals. How is the proposal request crafted with respect to pricing and how is your response structured? o Your typical pricing methodology (i.e. cost plus a multiplier of X or % off of manufacturer list. o How your pricing methodology can be used in a static e-commerce catalog environment. Companies deemed to have capabilities commensurate with the anticipated effort may be selected for a site visit to discuss their response in further detail. LLNL intends to issue an RFP for the supplies in 1st quarter of FY 2004. Email responses formatted as either MS Word (.doc) or Adobe (.pdf) files, are highly preferred.
