Description
NA The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is seeking, at a minimum, small business sources capable of producing/supplying a GYROSCOPE, CN-811 ( )/A, P/O CH-47 Helicopter. The CN 811 is a Displacement Gyroscope intended for use in high perfor mance military aircraft to provide an accurate vertical reference for roll and pitch display and aircraft control. Electrical input and output is specific to Chinook helicopters. Mechanical mounting is designed and machined with a high level of precision s o that the fore and aft axis is aligned to the fore and aft axis of the aircraft to within 1 degree. Manufacture of this complex instrument requires use of the most accurate techniques available for precision Assembly, Testing and Quality Control. There is no known commercial replacement for this item. CECOM-49266 (CR) is the specification used for procurement of CN-811 vertical displacement gyroscopes for the CH-47 aircraft.
