- Naval Air Systems Command conducted a Market Survey of Industry in May 2003 to determine potential interested sources who have the skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required to successfully develop a practice bomb rack for carriage of practice bombs and light weight ordnance for current and future Naval and Marine aircraft. The results of the May 2003 Market Survey led the Government to issue a second sources sought for interested parties who have a Non-developmental Item (NDI) or an NDI that can be modified for a practice bomb rack. The Government plans to hold an Industry Day on 21 and 22 October 2003 at Prometheus, 21471 Great Mills Road, Lexington Park, MD 20653. Industry Day will entail a 2 to 3 hour presentation by the Government followed by question and answers and optional one-on-one side meetings with interested companies. Copies of the draft specifications are available and are being mailed to all vendors who have already expressed an interest. Vendors attending Industry Day should limit their representation to no more than 3 individuals. Vendors shall provide the Name of the Company, Point of Contact (POC), Title, E-Mail address, Phone Number, Social Security Number, Birth Country, Visitor Birth City and State (If in the US), Citizenship and Country of Residence. This information shall be e-mailed to: Linda Tom?, linda.tome@navy.mil not later than 17 October 2003. The Government does not intend to contract on the basis of this request or otherwise pay for the information solicited.
